Mobile or stationary – reliable disinfection from a single source
– when combating Legionella, play it safe with system technology
Clean, healthy drinking water direct from the tap can still not be taken for granted in many countries. With chlorine and chlorine dioxide disinfection systems – available for both stationary and mobile applications – ALLDOS offers the most reliable of the current methods.
In many developing and thresh-old countries, water becomes contaminated as a result of inadequate hygiene, repeatedly leading to serious epidemics. Here, and certainly in crisis and disaster areas, the speedy supply of safe drinking water is absolutely essential because a lack of clean water can cause many life-threatening diseases such as cholera and dysentery. In most cases, water supplies taken from contaminated bodies of surface water have to be put into containers and transported over long distances at high temperatures to reach their destination. These are ideal conditions for all kinds of pathogens, above all the dreaded Legionella.

ALLDOS has decades of experience in the successful completion of projects both large and small, in particular in the field of drinking water treatment in countries experiencing critical situations (see also our article on page 4). ALLDOS fully automatic chlorine and chlorine dioxide disinfection systems are very much sought-after, as is the comprehensive project engineering know-how of ALLDOS engineers worldwide.
In the past few years, the demand for ALLDOS chlorine dioxide production systems has risen significantly. One reason for this is that, virtually irrespective of the relevant pH value, even relatively small amounts of chlorine dioxide have a strong disinfection effect on all critical germs – even those resistant to chlorine.

A further important benefit of chlorine dioxide is that it is the only disinfection method that has been proven to successfully reduce the formation of biofilms in water pipes. Given that the notorious Legionella and all other bacteria thrive in this environment, chlorine dioxide has a twofold effect. It kills all the germs in the water and also stops pathogens getting back into decontaminated water via biofilms.
Easy operation and top dosing technology
In addition to effective and reliable disinfection, ALLDOS systems also offer the advantage of easy operation, something the company is already well known for. Dual process monitoring using plain-text display and LED flowcharts ensure that those using the systems always have the best possible control over water disinfection. The interplay of precise dosing technology, an ideal mixture of components, chemical reactions with maximum conversion rates and cutting-edge control electronics means that Oxiperm systems are particularly effective in producing chlorine dioxide. Also, operating costs are kept to a minimum.
ALLDOS has specifically developed drinking water disinfection systems that are easy to transport for rapid on-site use. These mobile systems can be set up in remote areas and on difficult terrain without any problem.
MobileDos and Oxiperm – mobile disinfection systems for flexible on-site use
ALLDOS MobileDos systems allow exact dosing of both sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite dissolved in water (tablets). Their compact and flexible design makes them particularly well suited to mobile applications but of course they can also be installed permanently. One particular advantage is that these dosing stations are extremely easy to handle and operate.
The Oxiperm mobile chlorine dioxide generator produces the disinfectant directly on site with hydrochloric acid (9%) and sodium chlorite (7.5%). It is ideal for use in central water supply systems, to disinfect drinking water and water pipes. The decisive advantage of chlorine dioxide over chlorine is that disinfection is not influenced by the pH value, making it more efficient. Chlorine dioxide can also be stored for longer.
