ALLDOS provides clean drinking water in Athens
A project on an unparalleled scale takes ALLDOS to the Olympics
ALLDOS equipped the four existing Athens water treatment plants in Galatsi, Melindi, Kiourka and Aspropyrgos with state-of-the-art disinfection and measurement and control systems and put these into operation in good time for the Games. To ensure that everything ran smoothly, a cutting-edge SCADA system was installed for remote monitoring. This means that plants located sometimes 40 km apart can be monitored from a central control room and adjustments made if required. The total treatment capacity of the four waterworks is 1.9 million cubic metres per day. This is sufficient to supply the approx. 4 million inhabitants of the Athens area (including visitors to the Olympics) with top quality drinking water.
