Grundfos brings Water2 Life

Bring Water2Life - together we can make a difference

Access to safe water is one of the greatest challenges in the world. It will only increase in line with the growing climate changes, and more people will suffer. Today 1 billion people are without safe water access.

Every year 3 million people die as a result of contaminated water - half of them are children under the age of five. At Grundfos we have always aimed at playing an active, responsible role in the society that surrounds us. Grundfos Brings Water2Life is a new step on this road.

Water2Life - what is it?

Grundfos has developed a programme that makes it easy for Grundfos employees to make a difference.

Grundfos Brings Water2Life is an employee driven programme enabling Grundfos employees worldwide to provide access to safe water for some of the world's poorest people by donating money and initiating global and local activities. When employees donate money to "Grundfos bring Water2Life", the money is sent to Kenya via our collaboration with Danish Red Cross.

In Kenya, the donations are spent on implementing sustainable water projects based on the Grundfos LIFELINK system in areas without access to safe water. The water projects are primarily financed by the employees of Grundfos.

The first 10 systems will be implemented in Kenya from 2010 to 2012 - the very first system was implemented in a rural village called Kambi ya Juu on October 26th.
