Opening of the Dosing & Disinfection Training Centre in China at Grundfos Alldos Shanghai

September 8, 2008

APREG obtained its own Dosing & Disinfection (D&D) Training Centre under the roof of the Grundfos Alldos Competence Centre Shanghai, China. The speeches at the opening on September 8, 2008 were held by Arne Diering (Sales Director at Grundfos Alldos), Carsten Anders (Regional Managing Director APREG), Humphrey Lau (Group Senior Vice President) and Sunny Zhou (General Manager at Grundfos Alldos Shanghai). All guests invited to the celebration were very pleased with the new opportunity to perform practical training for Dosing & Disinfection in China. This is an important step in consideration of the big market potential in China and APREG.

The new training center has 80 square meters of meeting room with modern technical equipment offering space for up to 40 persons. The training workshop was designed for 16 participants and possesses 65 square meters of space equipped with the same tools as the D&D training center in Germany: a test stand for dosing pumps, a chlorine gas test stand, two Oxiperm systems OCD 162 and 164, several chlorine gas systems, dosing pumps as well as measurement and control equipment.

During the new organization of the training centre, the Grundfos Alldos Shanghai company premises were considerably enlarged by renting the second half of the building floor. Now, the restructured production facility has twice the surface and the paint shop received a new evacuation system. The office facilities were extended and a generous lounge for employees and visitors was created.

The new Dosing & Disinfection Training Centre works in close cooperation with the PDJA Satellite in Suzhou, China. Training courses for other Grundfos products are also planned in Shanghai. Peter Li will conduct the training courses for China and APREG as a trainer. On the opening day he received his trainer certificate from the D&D trainer from Grundfos Alldos Pfinztal in Germany. Shortly after this, a 2 ½ day product training for APREG about the use of diverse disinfection systems was carried out in the new training center. The training centre and the lounge are interconnected, but locally separated from the office and production facilities, in order not to disturb the working process during training performances.
